G & J contacted me from London to photograph their wedding in Canada, after discovering my work through another couple whose wedding I had photographed three years earlier. A beautiful recommendation that brought me all the way to Ottawa, to an absolutely extraordinary place.
Their wedding took place at The Peaches and Cream, owned by Sophie and Olivia, an incredible private property nestled in the heart of nature. Surrounded by forests, water and breathtaking Canadian landscapes, the venue is both wild and elegant, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Sophie and Olivia welcomed me with open arms from the very beginning.
The day started with a swim in the wild waters surrounding the property, before moving into light-filled preparations. The ceremony followed, overlooking a spectacular landscape and surrounded by flowers, lots and lots of flowers.
An ice cream truck, a sublime peach cake, an incredible dinner and dancing well into the night completed a wedding that was as joyful and vibrant as it was beautiful.
It was the kind of wedding reportage I love most: rich, spontaneous and filled with light, emotion and all the little details that make a day unique. My approach to documentary wedding photography is all about telling the story as it truly happened.
G & J, thank you for trusting me to document your beautiful Ottawa wedding and for allowing me to be part of such an incredible day.
